The Center for Engineering and Planning had been actively involved in the preparation of land use and master planning schemes for about 100 towns and villages in the Inland region of Palestine. 

The scope of works required for these activities includes the following

1. Detailed field studies and surveys to determine current land uses, status of existing buildings and infrastructural systems such as roads, water, storm water and sewerage networks.

2. Detailed demographic studies relating to population, age group distribution, and level of education, labor and manpower characteristics, household size and general condition.

3. Detailed study of the physical terrain to determine topography, slopes and the nature and characteristics of soil. 

4. Projections, based on the above information, of population, physical and developmental requirements of land and infrastructural services. 

5. Proposals regarding future land use, housing schemes, zoning and public services. 

6. Master plans for roads, water distribution, storm water and sewage drainage networks consistent with the proposed master-planning scheme. 

7.  Detailed planning schemes for the different zones proposed in the master-planning scheme.
